Maskmaking Ages 8 – 12 2 Tuesdays and Thursdays October 14, 16, 21 & 23 4:00 – 6:00 Jennifer Kunin Put it on your face or hang it on the wall! Learn Jennifer’s special way to make a mask. It’s fun because we work with so many kinds of materials! We start by sculpting with clay. Then we make a plaster mold. We pack the mold with paper pulp and then we use pastels for color and embellish with feathers and sticks. Cost: $80 $15 Materials How to Draw Comic Books Ages 7 – 12 4:00 – 6:00 PM Huy Ngo This class is for the beginning illustrator who’s interested in developing skills while learning new techniques to create better and more realistic illustrations all while developing your own style. You will develop your creativity and storytelling abilities and other important skills needed to be a good artist. Cost: $200 (Session 1); $100 (Sessions 2 and 3) $10 materials Art With Jane 1 ½ Hour Drop Off $20 includes picture frame or coat hook! Mandala as Self-Portrait Adult Class 5 Wednesdays; Oct. 8 – Nov. 5 7:00 – 9:00PM Jennifer Kunin "know thyself" Explore and define yourself through visual exercises in color, shape and form. We will turn our focus inward as we develop a visual language of self, through symbols, gestures, environments and geometric forms that we build into the circular mandala format. We will use a variety of artistic media such as pastels, acrylics, handmade paper and collage to build these mandalas while appreciating their Navajo and Tibetan origins. Cost: $100 $15 Materials Holiday Cards Galore! Papermaking and Printmaking Jennifer Kunin Make your own special holiday cards this season while having a lot of fun exploring papermaking and printmaking. We will work with lots of colors with both wet collaging paper pulp and printing with linoleum, soft cut, styrofoam, potatoes, and more. Cost: $55 $10 Materials Family Date Night Fridays 6:30 – 9:00 PM Come in and share a structured arts activity with your friends and family while you unwind at the end of the week. |
